Cornell pregnant/parenting students are encouraged to join students-with-kids-L@cornell.edu, an e-list specifically for students with parenting concerns. To join the list, send an email to students-with-kids-L-request@cornell.edu with “JOIN” typed in the message body. Any questions related to the listserv may be directed to the Office of Workforce Diversity, Equity, and Life Quality at (607) 255-5298.

The parents-L list provides members with a bi-weekly newsletter of family related activities and resources at Cornell and in the community. Members are encouraged to use the list in an interactive manner.

Being pregnant or parenting a child while leading a full University life can
generate additional stresses and concerns. Just as Gannett medical providers
can assist you in maintaining your physical health as a student, CAPS therapists
provide a safe, confidential atmosphere to address any issues affecting your
emotional or psychological well-being. Appointments can be made for services
at Gannett by calling 255-5155. Off-site walk-in services (called "Let's
Talk") are also provided by CAPS counselors at many sites around campus;
see website for the schedule.
Undergraduate
Students as Parents: Registered Student Organization
For information regarding this student organization, please contact the adviser,
Elizabeth Stilwell, at els13@cornell.edu.
This organization provides an opportunity for undergraduate students to share
similar concerns and resources, network, advocate for student parents, and
enjoy family activities as a group.
Joint Ventures: Johnson School Student Organization
This very active organization brings together Johnson School students, families and partners. While forging friendships, members share information on jobs, health care, day care, entertainment, student schedules, and many other aspects of life in the greater Cornell and Ithaca communities. They also organize a number of great social events.
Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) - 255-5208
University life combined with pregnancy/parenting life can generate emotional and social concerns. Everyone experiences them; but at times these concerns can make it difficult to function. It is a sign of intelligence and strength to recognize when you may need help, and it is also the first step in solving any difficulty.
- CAPS staff members provide a safe, confidential atmosphere where, together, you can consider your current situation in the context of your personal history and life experiences. Through receiving counseling and psychological services, you can come to see yourself, your relationships, and the world in a different way. The website also offers a wealth of information and guidance on numerous mental health concerns.

University Housing is made up of two communities: Hasbrouck Apartments and Maplewood Park Apartments. Please contact their service centers for more information on family programming, playgroups, etc.

Mental Health Association of Tompkins County - 273-9250
Develops and supports the active involvement of providers, family members and recipients of mental health services in all aspects of mental health. Website provides information on post traumatic stress disorder, family support services, community education, and more.
Ithaca Mothers & More
Figuring out how to fit the rest of who you are with being Mom? Be part of the exciting things happening at Ithaca Mothers & More, where they offer support, education, fun and connections for Ithaca Moms and Moms-to-be. They meet at 7:30 PM on the first (and sometimes third) Tuesdays of the month in the library at Belle Sherman School.
Moms Club of Ithaca
The Ithaca MOMS Club provides support for mothers as well as a forum for topics related to children, child-rearing, personal, and family improvement. We engage in activities designed to enrich the lives of our children and families, and participate in at least one charitable and humanitarian project related to children per year.

Free assistance for adults, teens, and children who have experienced, or been
impacted by domestic violence, sexual assault, or child abuse.
Ithaca Youth Bureau - 273-8364
The Ithaca Youth Bureau provides a wide variety of recreation programs and
youth services to promote health, happiness and well-being. Program areas
include: sports leagues and lessons, expressive arts programs, summer day
camps, after school programs, recreation support services, an outdoor adventure
program, jobs and employment training for teens, a computer recycling program,
a Big Brother/Big Sister program, tutoring and academic support, a stay and
play program for tots, and sponsorship of community events.

An excellent, free, online resource including many listings for scholarships for pregnant and parenting undergraduate students.
Non-traditional Student Website
Provides help and support for all nontraditional students on a wide variety of subjects including: scholarship information, online groups, school/life balance, parenting, and social networking.
Family and Children’s Services - 273-7494
Family & Children's Service of Ithaca is the primary private non-profit provider of mental health services in Tompkins County for children, adolescents, adults, seniors, and families. They provide services to all persons without bias of race, gender, age, income or education level, sexual orientation, or religion. Fees for service are reimbursable through Medicaid, Medicare, and private health insurance. They are able to base the personal fee for our services on a flexible scale according to household income.
